I'm either going to give Babylon 5, The Wire, 24 or The X-files a look. I'll probably watch the first 2 or 3 episodes from each one and decide then. I'll report back soon. In the meantime, feel free to throw in some suggestions...
Both The Wire and The X-Files are incredible pieces of television. 24 is pretty good (at first) but nowhere near the same league, and tapers off towards the end. Having said that, The X-Files does a little, but it was such high quality in the first place that you can forgive it. And The Wire, if anything, keeps getting better.
